WhatsApp has never been characterized as one of the applications that more options offers when it comes to customizing it. Nor when it comes to offering new functions since it is mainly dedicated to copying what works and grindstone of other applications (mainly Telegram), implying that the design department does not exist, just as it does not exist on Facebook or Instagram.
A few months ago, WhatsApp was updated to add temporary messages, messages that disappear after 7 days. That same update also added a new function, similar to the one already offered by Telegram, which allows us to use any image from our device as a chat background. The first thing we should know is that replacing the native WhatsApp background of our chats is a function that is available both in individual chats and in group chats. Another thing we should know is that the images we show will only be shown in our chat, never in other people's chat. Once we are clear on these two points, we begin with the explanation.
- Once we have opened WhatsApp, we go to the conversation in which we want to add an image that we have stored in the Photos application.
- Next, click on the name of the person or group to access the options and click on Wallpaper and sound.
- Next, we press Choose a new wallpaper.
- In the window shown below, we can select colors Light, Dark and Solid Colors. Right at the end, the option to add images of the application appears Photos.
- When clicking on this option, we just have to select which photo we want to display and click on Setting.
