iMods, the alternative to Cydia, closer and closer

Currently the only possibility to install tweaks when we Jailbreak our device is via the Saurik Cydia app store. Many times it has been commented that if the Jailbreak does not leave money, that if in fact it costs Saurik himself money ... but this is a business, and if it leaves you money you invest in it, otherwise, I doubt very much that Saurik will continue to keep for love of art Cydia.

iMods, the new alternative that wants to unseat Cydia As the main source of tweaks, it is not the first and surely not the last to try it. RockYourPhone, later bought by Saurik, was one of the first to try to stand up to the almighty Saurik and his app store but ultimately came to nothing.

Comex, one of the developers behind the iMods team, released the proposal to create an alternative to Cydia, after a heated fight with Saurik, in order to defend open source applications, unlike the one used by Saurik in the alternative application store to the App Store. Last March, the alpha version of this alternative was launched, but as of today the application is practically finished and in the video that leads this article you can see how iMods works broadly.

In the video we can see how two tweaks are installed, the information and images that are shown of them, the wish list ... iMods is currently in beta, so it is very likely that within a few weeks, taking advantage of the launch of iOS 9 and the Jailbreak that will probably appear almost hand in hand, Comex can launch the alternative application store to the App Store and Cydia. Now we just have to wait to be able to try and enjoy the alternative that finally leaves Cydia in oblivion, although I see it unlikely.

Saurik has been settled for a long time and little news comes out of Cydia, it is what happens when there is no competition, I hope that with this new interference from Comex with Imod, things change and serve to give Saurik a new air with his Cydia.
We will be waiting to see how the matter evolves.

The only way it will outperform cydia is for it to jailbreak comex for iOS9 and add this store when
