iMovie is updated allowing us to use an external monitor to preview the video

One of the main and most striking novelties that came from the hand of the new iPad Pro, we find it in the USB-C connection, a connection that allows us to connect a large number of devices to this new generation of iPad, including 4k quality output to compatible monitors, something that in the previous generation we could not.

As the days go by, and just as expected, the guys from Cupertino have started to update some of their applications, just like other developers are doing, to be able to take advantage of all the novelties that come from the hand of the third generation of the iPad Pro 2018. iMovie, the application with which we can create fantastic videos in just a few seconds is one of them.

The latest iMovie update allows us to connect an external screen to the iPad or iPhone and select what type of content we can display on screen: a projection of the screen or a preview of the video while we are editing it. This feature is available from iPhone 7 onwards, iPad 6th generation and iPad Pro from 2017 onwards. Only the new iPad Pro 2018 models allow us to display content in 4k quality, thanks to the use of the USB-C connection.

This is the main novelty that we find in the last update of iMovie, but it is not the only one, since the guys from Cupertino have taken the opportunity to fix some problems that the application showed on some devices since the previous update was released and that prevented video sharing over a data connection on the iPhone and iPad. In addition, the stability of the application when adding speed change effects to video clips has been improved.

iMovie, is available for download completely free of charge through the link that I leave at the end of this article.
