Infuse 5 is updated with important news

Currently the only option that we can find in the App Store if we need a video player that reproduces any format, regardless of the codecs used, is Infuse 5, an application that a few months ago was completely renewed, forcing users of the previous version, Infuse 4, to have to checkout. Although it is true that this application is not cheap, it costs 12,99 euros or 7,99 euros if we want to opt for an annual subscription, it is worth every euro it costs, because as I have said there is no other option in the App Store that is compatible not only with all the formats on the market, but also because it also offers us the option of being able to play the videos stored on our network hard drive through Plex, Kodi, NAS….

Infuse 5 allows us to play content directly stored in the cloud storage service that we use, trakt.tv synchronization, it is compatible with AirPlay and Google Cast, as well as being compatible with the 4th generation Apple TV. Infuse 5 has just received a new update in which new functions have been added, functions that in some cases may be simple, but if we make intensive use of it, they are very well received. Between the main novelties offered by version 5.2 of Infuse 5 we find:

  • Search both libraries and folders.
  • Support for videos in DVD format, either ISO / IMG or VIDEO_TS or dvdmedia.
  • Streaming from NFS drives is now possible
  • Titles are displayed based on release date.
  • When starting / resuming / searching for content, the buffer has been improved, so that now the load is much faster.
  • Reliability of WebDAV connections has also been improved
  • Improved security and stability of the application.

It shows that you have not searched the Appstore too much, it would be good if there was only this app to watch videos on iOS devices without having to convert them ... I have one that I use since I bought my iPad 2 a lot of years ago, it has always worked super good and offers even more options than Infuse… and best of all, I only paid for it once and all updates have been free. I do not say the name to avoid advertising, but please, before stating that this is the only app, inform you better.

They are giving publicity, say the name so you inform better and speak with base

What publicity are you going to give? This is a blog to be informed of the world of IOS and together help us to have the best applications.

Before writing I inform myself. The main use I make of the iPad is to watch series and movies wherever I am. For many years I have searched and searched for applications that offer me everything that Infuse offers me and I have not found it. Not all players are compatible, for example, with the AC3 audio format, nor do they read DVD files, nor do they offer us all the functions that we can obtain with Infuse. Maybe if you put several applications together they will do the same as Infuse, but that there is one superior to it I doubt it.
