The arrival of OLED technology to the Apple phone with the new iPhone X means that something that many users were demanding little by little is making its way: Dark Mode. Either for aesthetics or for energy efficiency, many users prefer black backgrounds over white ones, which are also much more comfortable for enjoying content in low light conditions.
Infuse, how could it be otherwise, wanted to be one of the first applications to take advantage of this possibility and has just updated its application to add this Dark Mode within its options, although only for the iPhone X. What all users of the application will be able to take advantage of, whatever their device, are the new options to personalize the favorites as well as the improvements in performance and the solution of errors.
It's one of our favorite apps, and it is on its own merits. Infuse has become the best multimedia player for our iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, with the possibility of playing any video format and doing it in a totally fluid way using the enormous power of the processor of Apple devices. Unlike Plex it does not need us to create any server, being able to reproduce the files directly from a hard disk connected to our network, even on the Apple TV.
With the new dark mode, many users will finally enjoy the interface they have been asking for for a long time, and will contribute to a lower battery consumption, since on OLED screens such as the iPhone X, black means that the pixel is off, for which does not consume energy. The option is not activated by default, but it is quickly accessed from the General tab within the application settings. We can also customize the favorites screen by adding any category to which we navigate to it.
Infuse is available as a free app that we can try for a limited time and then use the "Pro" option by subscription in different modalities (monthly for € 0,99, annually for € 9,99 and for life for € 49,99), or as a paid application that costs € 16,99 and that entitles you to all updates until a new version is released.
