Infuse is updated by integrating with the Trakt service

Infuse-3

Over the past week we talked about the limitations that the native iOS application, Videos, had when it came to playing certain content on our device. As a result of the comments we saw that not only on iOS but also on Apple TV, something that really worries me. But in addition, we proposed an alternative: infuse, an application that was updated yesterday in the App Store with quite interesting news: synchronization with Trakt, implementation of a new API ... Since I've known Infuse, no update has let me down, and as I've been testing, neither has this one.

Trakt on Infuse: more control over what we see

Surely you know or at least have heard of FilmAffinity, a service that allows us to consult the information of films, documentaries and series; information such as synopsis, trailers, directors, media reviews, actors ... But in addition, it also allows us to assess the film when we have seen it, create lists ... What if, trakt.tv It is the same as FilmAffinity, but much more focused on the series, although the films are not far behind.

Infuse was updated to version 3.1 and these are the news that I have told you a bit about before:

  • Track: As I have told you, Trakt allows us to keep a record of what series we are watching, what movies we have seen, rate them ... But one of the most interesting things is that it synchronizes with what we are watching within Infuse, that is, if I am watching a movie on an iPhone and it arrives at minute 12, if I pick up another device (and it's the same movie) syncing with Trakt I will be able to continue watching it from minute 12.
  • FIRE: The new API Trakt v2 has been implemented, which makes the application increase in performance, speed and operation.
  • XBMC / Kodi Libraries: The integration of these services has been made a bit more extensive such as uploading of NFO files and image overwrites.
  • Dolby / DTS Audio: Now we can handle some options of this global audio system.
  • Subtitle: From now on, if we delete a file (movie, for example) from Infuse, subtitles for that movie can be erased automatically.
