Infuse gets updated with cool new features: Captions by AirPlay and more

Infuse

On many occasions we have already talked about the problem that exists with videos on Apple devices: only supports mp4 natively. That is, we cannot see any avi, mkv, mpg files unless we have an application installed from the App Store. I find it a bit ridiculous on the part of Apple limit users to convert their files to mp4 without giving an explanation. Many people choose to download applications that allow watching videos of any format.

And one of those applications is Infuse, one of the best and I use it. It has great quite interesting functions such as: possibility of adding subtitles, viewing any video format without converting anything before, spectacular design with different ways of displaying the videos available in the library, 1080p playback and Dolby sound. In this update brings lots of interesting things that I'm looking forward to trying after the jump.

Many new features in the new Infuse update

As I have told you, Infuse is the perfect application for view any type of video with any format that we meet on the net. Just send it from iTunes to the "Infuse" section to start watching the video on our iPad or on our Apple TV thanks to the function Airplay What are you waiting for to download it from the App Store? Plus, it's updated with cool features that a lot of people have been asking for through emails and tweets to the developer:

  • Subtitles by AirPlay
  • Airplay in multitasking: If we are watching a movie on Apple TV using Infuse and AirPlay, now we can view another application while we enjoy filming on our TV.
  • Lock screen with movie cover: If we are using AirPlay and we lock the screen, the cover of the movie or video that we are watching will appear, if it has one.
  • Dolby Digital Audio: We can activate or deactivate the Dolby Digital audio at will while we use Infuse through AirPlay
  • 1080p playback improvements
