ING Direct Mobile Banking, an app that is easier to use

Direct

Since many years the ING app It has an interface to which many of us have become accustomed, but it is still a bit outdated and has some elements in the design that are too strident (large transitions, 3D effects ...) that have long disappeared from the applications quality. And that is why ING is committed to a new application oriented to the design of iOS 7.

Nothing to see

Visually the application represents a brutal qualitative leap, leaving behind the horrible design of the other application to adopt a simple, flat design, with a reduced color palette and very well thought out. Of course, for those of you who have been using the other app for a while, I recommend you be patient because they have changed everything and therefore it may take a while to get started with the new distribution.

In any case ING has tried to do a good job transition with the application and proof of this is that from the beginning the process is the same as with the other app, since we make a login based on our ID, the date of birth (the first time) and then the operator PIN online with which we also operate on the web or on other platforms.

Less direct

Application is more pretty and theoretically easier to use, but the reality is that everything was done faster in the old one. Another weak point of this new version is that even in the iPhone 5s that we have used to test it, it has been very slow, something illogical considering that it is an application with a minimal processing load and that it also has no transitions of any kind. kind, giving very little sense of fluidity.

There is probably no action in this new version that is done faster than in the old one, but if you care a lot about the design then you will love this version, because it loses its speed but it certainly looks much better than the predecessor. Perhaps it is best to try the new one for several weeks, and if you are not convinced by making inquiries and operators, you can always return to the other application, since ING has not removed it from the App Store, which suggests that they have not been as satisfied as they could be to withdraw the first version released a few years ago.
