Inside comes to iOS and you can't miss it

Occasionally a game appears in the App Store that achieves the unanimity of all, both critics and users. It is not a game with a huge company behind it that does a good marketing campaign, but a real work of art that convinces everyone who tries it and does it with a very good note. This is the case of Inside, the latest release from the independent studio Playdead, which after passing through the classic video game consoles with great critical success, finally reaches iOS, both the iPhone and iPad, and also Apple TV.

Its gray atmosphere, its sound effects, its games of light and shadow and the simple but realistic movements of its character mean that despite being a side-scrolling game with puzzles that you must solve without great complication, hook you from the first minute and want to advance beyond what the free trial offers you.

Inside arrived in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and just before the end of 2017 it has arrived on iOS and tvOS. Those who have enjoyed it on these platforms assure that the game maintains its essence in its entirety, and have adapted the controls to a touch screen in a way that is as natural as it is surprising. The mechanics of the game are very simple, with a character that you control by tapping the screen so that it moves to the right or left., allowing the other hand to slide up to jump. If you find an object to interact with, you will only have to hold down so that the character is ready to push, pull, open, close, move, etc.

You will have to move to the right, as in a conventional platform game, only in some occasions you will have to go back to be able to continue advancing later. At the beginning the game is quite straightforward, but little by little it gets more complicated, although the puzzles that you find are easy to get, often the first time, sometimes the second, and only sometimes the third. But that's the least of it, because Inside gets you fully into the story and enjoy the light effects, the sounds (I recommend using headphones to enjoy it to the fullest) and the game itself. Absolutely a must, and you can try it for free. Unlocking the full game costs € 7,99.
