Instagram has just updated its application for iOS devices with a remarkable novelty: the option to send direct messages with photos and videos to our contacts. This is Instagram's response to Snapchat, another application that allows us to send photos to contacts on the agenda and that can only be viewed for a few seconds. We remember that Facebook has tried to acquire Snapchat several times so far this year, so now we know what the social network wanted to do with this application: integrate it, in some way, into Instagram.
The new option of Instagram Direct appears in the first section of the application. Its operation is the same that we follow when publishing a photo on our timeline: we make a new capture, or we select it from the reel; We apply one of the available filters, write a comment and, finally, add the contacts to whom we want to show this video or photograph privately. Thus was born a new way of interacting on Instagram privately.
In this update to the Instagram version 5.0.0 design tweaks have also been made to the buttons and the overall performance of the app has been improved.
What do you think of the new option Instagram Directt? Will you use it?
Instagram is available for free in your country's App Store.
