Instagram is updated by improving "Stories"

Instagram Stories

Instagram recently included a new feature in its own application that they called Stories. As users will already know, this was nothing more than a replica of Snapchat stories where users could upload a photo or video and make it available for 24 hours for other users to see.

Instagram introduced in this first version of Stories the possibility of writing text or drawing on the image with various sizes and types of «marker» with different colors, however, yesterday Instagram received an update that included two new features: Ability to zoom with one finger when recording video and the ability to switch cameras between front and rear when recording, possibilities that Snapchat previously included.

Both of these features work the same way they do on Snapchat. To zoom the video just swipe up or down (zoom in or out) with your finger that we have pressed the record video button. Personally, I think it works better than on Snapchat for the simple reason that the record button on Snapchat is lower on the screen and by zooming out you can more easily get off the screen and end up recording inadvertently.

The other novelty, the change between cameras when recording, works double clicking on the screen while you are recording a video. Just like on Snapchat. There is also the possibility of touching the button that appears on the screen to change the camera, but it is much more convenient to be able to double click anywhere on the screen and not have to point to the button.

According to this new update, there are also fixes of bugs to make Stories better and faster. Personally I have not noticed any improvement in this aspect compared to the previous version, but if they say so ...
