We are going to explain how to install MAME ROMs on Gridlee without having the jailbreak. Some time ago, in 2011 Apple was filtered in the AppStore an application called Imam, which allowed mame ROMS to run on our iPhones. This weekend the same thing happened again and we have available the Gridlee app with which we can install and play hundreds of old arcade games by previously introducing the ROMs in our devices.
To do all this the method is very simple and you just have to do the following:
- Download and install the Gridlee app on your iPhone. Hurry up before it is removed from the App Store, once downloaded, synchronize your device so that the application is transferred to your hard drive with iTunes so that it can be installed more times.
- Once you have Gridlee installed on your device to play hundreds of old games like Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Pang, ... and much more, just connect your iOS device to your Mac or PC via the iFunbox app. In this application we go to the rom folder of gridlee and we drag the individual games we want to play, in the application path. In this browser you just have to connect your iPhone to USB, and go to the route → Connected Devices → [your device] → User Applications → Gridlee → Documents → roms. In this folder you will see the ROM gridlee.zip that is already installed. Enter the ROMs you have in zip format in that directory, and wait for them to be transferred to your iPhone.
- Disconnect the device and open the application, you will see that application launch has changed and now I will allow you choose the ROMs that you entered before. You are now ready to enjoy the old arcade games on your iPhone.
If you don't know where ROMs exist, you have a good collection of MAME ROMs searching by google, although not all games are guaranteed to work, so you will have to test. Download Gridlee from the App Store in a Delivery to Italy takes one or two business days from the link below before it is removed.

The Frogger does run (and very well) as well as much more powerful plates like the neogeo mvs (king of fighter 2003, metal slug 1,2,3,4,5 and x to name a few) and the cps-1 and cps -2 from capcom (cadillacs and dinosaurs, street fighter alpha 3, etc) All of them run 100% without frameskip and with video filters on a fourth generation iPad (which is what I tested). What people should know that to emulate a game it is PRIMARY to use a correct set, in this case the roms for MAME 0.139.u1, since from one version to another the sets of a rom (game) usually change in their names, size, CRC, etc. Any of these changes makes a game not work for you (just take the .zip of a rom, change the name of a file and compress it again so that it no longer works for you), to solve this you can download the appropriate rom (MAME 0.139u1) or use ROM manager programs (they check and repair a ROM according to an emulator and version) such as Romcenter.

I downloaded the bios that were posted in the imame post by the aiphone ones, and when unzipping there were two folders, one is called 'neogeo' (with files) and the other is called 'photos' and it has two photos of in ipadu iphone running imame with two wii controllers.
Where do I put that bios, inside the zip of each game or in the 'rom' folder of the application?
If you search by google, there are tutorials to put the BIOS of other consoles and make it work almost 80% of the games.

I have downloaded quite a few roms, but they are not downloaded in zip format, they are folders. I have tried to put them as a folder or compress them, but nothing, it always gives me an error. I don't know what the reason is.
I just played a little game at Dungeon's & Dragons and I have 112 more games added. The emulator it uses is mame4ios reloaded, which works with roms of MAME version 0.139u1, which can be found on the internet as soon as you search a little.
