iOS 10 GM stands up to iOS 9.3.5, gets worse on older devices

iOS 10

Apple released the Golden Master version of iOS 10 yesterday after Keynote, in fact, the update reached mobile devices under the nickname iOS 10.0.1. However, the same question always arises, and it is the performance of the next iOS update, especially on a device that we could consider old. It seems that iOS 10.0.1 does not move as well as we were predicting for devices like the iPhone 5. We remember that iOS 10 is going to have a fairly extensive range of compatibility, specifically in the case of the iPhone it will come from the iPhone 5 (2012) to the iPhone 7 (2016).

As always, the team of iAppleBytes has rushed to upload the comparison to YouTube. In the case of the iPhone 5, iOS 10.0.1 is quite lazy when booting, but that's not all, it shows slightly lower performance when running applications and moving around the operating system. We do not know if they will improve this, but it seems that iOS 10 will not be fully recommended for the iPhone 5. The 64Bit unstructured processor seems to penalize the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C a lot. On the other hand, in the iPhone 5s model it already begins to move with a little more ease.

In the iPhone 6s, which we could consider the fastest iPhone, it also takes a little longer than necessary to start up, however, the performance seems identical to that of iOS 9.3.5. What we will not be able to see yet is the performance in terms of battery. However, a server already has iOS 10.0.1 on an iPhone 6, so the next reviews about the battery and the general performance of the device will not take long to arrive. Take the time to watch these videos and get an idea of how iOS 10 will work, the operating system that will arrive next week on all our iOS devices.

S l crazy of all the years !; already four years with updates for a mobile is a lot, in addition it is to be assumed that the iPhone 5 will stay in this version (well, rather in the last one that was removed from iOS 10 next year ...)

It is the madness of all the years and of being the oldest device to support the version…; four years (since iOS 6 if I'm not mistaken!) is too many updates; also, presumably l iPhone 5 this is its latest version (well, rather the one that ends iOS 10 next year!).

Surely with iOS 11 or 12 to the 5S the same thing happens ... and later to all the other generations when it takes 4 years with new versions ...

How about the space in the system? How many gigabytes are left free in those of 16

Well, what a novelty. They always kill the oldest device.
I with an iPad 4G, equivalent to the iPhone 5 with a little more performance, not crazy I update.
They are always murdered on purpose. Not that it cost so much to make an operating system with a performance equal to the previous one for a dozen devices ... Google does it for millions and Windows as well.
I would advise against updating neither the iPhone 5C, nor the iPhone 5, nor the iPad 4.

My iphone 6 plus is already updated with ios 10.0.1 I was already used to the ease of 9.3.5 and the change can be noticed. Some things I liked and some I did not. And siri is more improved, but I feel that the phone gets hotter, when I had the previous version it never felt hot. I trust apple and I know it will solve everything. Thanks
