After many rumors, Apple finally introduced iOS 10 at WWDC 2016After the presentation, the operating system was released for developers on Apple's website. Photos now recognizes faces
Photos in iOS 10 now works with face recognition and scene recognition so you can search by person, place or topic. Apple has ensured that photos use machine learning to analyze photos as they are stored locally on the device. On the other hand, Photos uses this technology to create "memories", putting together related photos and videos.
Voicemail
In iOS 10, there are also some much-needed enhancements in terms of a basic functionality, the Phone app. Voicemail uses Siri to answer calls and transcribe voice messages to text. Second, through a CallKit, developers can create extensions to detect voicemail spam.
Telephone support for VoIP services

Rich links in messages
Another way Apple has made messages more visual is by offering rich link support. When a web URL is sent via iMessage, you see the accompanying image of the web page above. This also works when sharing a link to an Apple Music track.
Siri is now open to developers
Apple has turned to third-party developers to help Siri be much smarter. Siri with a newly built SDK, or Sirikit, can now access other apps like Lyft, WeChat, and Square Cash. Before iOS 10, Siri was limited to helping mainly in native iPhone applications, but this will gradually change and it will even be possible to send messages through WhatsApp using Siri.
Lyrics on Apple Music
A prominent feature in the new Apple Music update is integration with song lyrics. When listening to a song, just swipe up to see the lyrics. However, it remains to be seen if Apple will use all publishers so that all the songs in its catalog will have this new feature, or if it will only bring some of its songs. There is also the integration of Spotify with the Apple Music application that leads to a better experience in using the application.
3D Touch for Notifications
Thanks to 3D Touch in iOS 10, you can now interact with the new super-dynamic notifications, even directly from the iPhone lock screen. You can use 3D Touch to reply to a message, accept a calendar invite, or even see where your Uber is on a map. And from the Notifications screen, you can also use 3D Touch to clear all notifications at once.
Improved app widgets
That's right, iOS 10 finally offers users the practical use of widgets, which can be accessed by swiping the screen to the right. These widgets are animated, expandable, and you can even play videos and other multimedia content, like a sports clip. To add a widget, just use 3D Touch on the application icon and then click on "Add Widget".
Uninstall native applications that we never use
Apple did not mention this during WWDC, but later confirmed that you will be able to remove certain native applications in iOS 10. That applications ? The Stock Market, the calculator, notes, maps, and many more. But beware: removing a native application can have some consequences. HomeKit, native application for device control
Apple has released an entirely new app as part of iOS 10, and it's simply called Home. This new application for iOS (also available for watchOS) is designed to control all your HomeKit-enabled accessories around the house. In addition to taking advantage of the on / off devices, you can also create and select certain "Scenarios" depending on the time of day. And these scenarios can also be activated through Siri voice commands.
