Like every iOS update, iOS 10 is the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system that has been focused on the details. One of these details is found in the native Notes application and it is the possibility of share notes for collaborative editing, that is, we can send invitations to one or more contacts with iOS 10 or macOS Sierra and they can edit them so that the changes can be seen by all users who have access to that note.
Collaborative Notes they can serve us in many situations. For example, we can use them for something as simple as making a shopping list, for someone else to add what we may forget, to prepare a trip with our friends or to share notes on our work. Using these types of notes is very simple and below you have everything you need to know.
Share collaborative notes in iOS 10
- First of all, open the Notes application on a device with iOS 10 (also available on macOS Sierra).
- Now we have to open a note, but taking into account that we have to have it stored in iCloud.
- Once inside, we touch on the icon in which we see the "+" symbol above a circle that contains the remains of a head.
- Next we will see the options by which we can send the link to the note. We choose one.
- In the next step, we tap on the "+" symbol and choose a contact. Or we look for the contact in the application that we have chosen to send the invitation.
- Finally, we send the note like any other message, depending on the delivery method we have used.
Once we open or our contact opens the link to our invitation, we can or will be able to edit the note and everyone who is invited will be able to see the changes let them be done in it. On the other hand, next to the note a new icon will appear indicating that the note is shared, both in the general view of the notes and within it. If we touch on the icon within a note, we can see everyone who has access and we can edit it.
The truth is that it is something that may seem unimportant, but that is included in the notes application that we have installed by default in iOS 10 it can come in handy.
