iOS 11.4 Beta 2 now available alongside watchOS 4.3.1 Beta 2 and tvOS 11.4 Beta 2

This week it is a new Beta, and Apple fulfills its appointment to launch usthe new trial versions of iOS, watchOS and tvOS. Two weeks after the release of the first version for developers, the second Beta of iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4 and watchos 4.3.1 are now available for download, at the moment only for developers.

Apple left behind, with the release of iOS 11.3, some features that we had seen in Betas attentions of that version, such as Messages in iCloud and AirPlay 2. Its appearance in the first Beta of these new versions suggests that we could soon have these promised features on our devices.

This new Beta includes Messages in iCloud, a function that Apple already promised in the last WWDC in June (yes, last year) and that it has not yet launched. After appearing in iOS 11.3 Beta, the final version for all users did not include it, we do not know why. The promised synchronization of all our messages between all our devices could finally arrive with the final version of iOS 11.4, although you never know lately with Apple and its software.

AirPlay 2 is another case comparable to that of Messages in iCloud. Seen in the iOS 11.3 betas, it was finally not included, and now it can be seen again as long as you have the Apple TV also in the same Beta as the iPhone. This new feature will allow you to control the playback of multiple compatible speakers at the same time, like the HomePod. Connecting two HomePods to get a stereo system also appears in the code of this new Beta, but it requires the installation of a new version of software for the HomePod that is not yet available.
