iOS 11 could include gestures to open multitasking on the iPhone

Little by little, the date on which Apple will show us the next iPhone is approaching and that will inevitably be linked to the launch of iOS 11, the new version that we have been testing since June and that is already in its seventh Beta for developers. Although it seems that the main novelties are already seen, Apple always has an ace up its sleeve for the presentation of the iPhone, and gestures for multitasking and notification center could be one of those cards.

One developer has been "diving" into the depths of iOS 11 and its code, and You have found two functions that are not activated but that could well appear in the final version of iOS 11, and that also influence two aspects that many users do not finish seeing completely polished: The Control Center and multitasking. We show them below.

The first of the findings that we can find in this video includes a Control Center within the Notification Center (and probably the lock screen). Deploying the Notification Center from any screen, sliding from right to left the Control Center would appear, with its buttons to activate WiFi, Bluetooth and others. Right now if we do that, what appears to us is the camera application.

The second is even more interesting, since many of us miss the gesture of doing Force Touch to open multitasking. Right now Apple forces us to double click on the start button, with no other possibility. In the video we can see how swiping up from the bottom of the screen opens multitasking, showing the Control Center on the right. Right now that gesture directly opens the Control Center.

This last video also makes a lot of sense with the new iPhone 8 that will lack a home button, and this gesture for multitasking seems more logical than having to double-click on a virtual home button on the screen. It is also the same behavior that multitasking has on the iPad with iOS 11 right now, although in this case multitasking and the Control Center appear on the same screen, given the larger size of this device. We will see if it is simply a residual code that Apple has left in iOS 11 or if you are really testing these features to release in future versions.
