This week Apple surprised us by launching the second beta of iOS 13.6, a beta that actually should have been called iOS 13.5.5 but changed its second digit. Beta of what may be the latest version of iOS 13 before moving to iOS 14. And as usually happens in these cases, All the new features of this new iOS 13.6 are already being discovered, one of them has to do with the operation of Apple News ... After the jump we tell you what is new that Apple News brings us in iOS 13.6 beta 2.
The new iOS 13.6 brings us the possibility of remembering where we have left by reading an article. Previously from iOS 13.5.1 backwards, when we read an Apple News article, we closed it, and we returned to the article we were reading, we were automatically shown the beginning of the article Something quite annoying (or not depending on tastes) that now no longer it happens since when returning to an article, Apple News will remember where we were reading, something similar to what happens with iBooks. According to MacRumors, in just 30 seconds Apple records our position in an article to save it and thus use it in later readings. A change that was not entirely necessary in short articles, but is certainly welcome in long articles.
Recall that Apple News is only available in Australia, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, and we hope that in this WWDC Keynote this list of countries will be expanded. Do you want to try Apple News in countries where it is not available? you can change the region of your iPhone to one of these countries and the Apple News app will magically appear. We will see the changes that the next iOS 14 brings us, there is less and less for Apple to reveal all its news.
