IOS 4 Beta 14 Adds COVID-19 Exposure Notification API

Switzerland Covi-19 API

One of the interesting news that we find in the beta 4 version of iOS 14 launched a few hours ago is the implementation of the API for the notification of exposure to COVID-19. This API created by Apple and Google allows health authorities to launch COVID-19 contact tracking applications. After several beta versions released of iOS 14 it is now finally available in this beta 4 version released by Apple. In the public beta versions, it is most likely that this API is also available.

What is tried with this is to prove that it works well in the new version and that users can notify their exposure to the pandemic through the available applications. What is intended with this option is simply something as simple as keeping track of the coronavirus pandemic that affects the entire planet.

There is something bad about all the good things, and that is that applications to track this pandemic are not available in all countries. This is a clear example of mismanagement by health authorities and Spain is one of those countries in which we do not have an official application available.

It is undoubtedly another of the measures that together with the mask should become mandatory for everyone and that helping in the control of the pandemic is everyone's obligation, but we need this joint app to notify the exposure. In the stable version of iOS it is available from iOS 13.5 and this version has been active for several weeks so it is not a problem for Apple or Google with their Android devices.
