iOS 6 and its design problems

We already know that when it comes to design, Apple always takes care of every last detail. But we have to say that iOS has lagged far behind in this regard. While Jonathan Ive, Apple's vice president and responsible for the design of the company's products, has always stood out for a brilliant job, Scott Forstall - until now vice president of iOS - has not been able to combine the design of the latest devices with the interface of iOS.

Jonathan Ive will be in charge of polishing all these aspects in the months to come. From next year we will say goodbye to style «skeuomorph », movement of which already we spoke to you recently in Actualidad iPhone. Goodbye to those modern applications with incomprehensibly old designs. Scott Forstall was the last person to support this kind of style at Apple and with his departure, iOS 7 promises to offer a facelift.

Exploring iOS 6 we find elements that don't quite fit together. For example, Jonathan Ive got the iPhone 5 widescreen right, however the displayed photos is wrong with the two black bars that we find when browsing our albums. The beautiful experience of viewing our images on the touch screen has suffered with these latest changes. And Apple is aware of this, which is why in its official iPhone 5 announcements it plays "trickery" with photos that occupy the entire screen when in reality it is not, unless you use Panorama:

Apple surprised the world in 2007 with an impressive touchscreen and, without a doubt, the image navigation it was a real success in which now it has taken a step backwards.

We do not doubt that Apple will introduce some change that allows us to enjoy this section again. In the meantime, the company should modify its ads to avoid misleading advertising lawsuits. It would not be the first time this happened, since Apple was sued for the same reason last year because of Siri ads.

I thought that the black bands only appeared in photos taken with the iphone 4, and restored by a backup, what a disappointment

That thing about the black bars is pretty ugly, in itself it was enough not being able to display a full-size photo on the lock screen ... (at least without cydia)

is that it goes fabric. Because an app that depends on a developer, I can understand that it does not adapt its app to the screen, but taking a photo, either vertically or horizontally and seeing the 2 black bands seems incredible and inexcusable.

Can someone explain to me how to adapt 16x10cm photos (or 15x10cm without the standard ones) to a 16: 9 screen ?. The only way would be to take 16: 9 photos, but no thanks. I understand certain complaints, but from time to time, it is a lag.

It does a bit of zooming. With videos (otherwise 16: 9 to 4: 3) and photos on previous iPhones, this has always been the case.

I'm sorry, but you're talking about something nonsensical. Photos will be displayed based on their format. a 15:10 you will NEVER show it full screen on a 16: 9 screen, unless you cut or distort it.
Do movies with a different format fit on your TV, or do black "bars" appear above and below (or left and right)?
What is a problem is this article. and so many others who spread false information.

But what you can not do in any case is to talk about misleading advertising. Square photos will be banded and photos that fit the iphone5 screen format will be full screen.

Apple's deceptive advertising with the photos is a shame, it is undoubtedly a fraud since they sell you something that is totally false, since the stripes do not appear in the advertising, but in short it can be said that IOS 6 is an authentic botched I do not know how a company like Apple that shows itself as a company with high quality and that only makes products for the high segment of the sector allows these errors (the thing about the maps is intolerable, like the one about the camera with violet effects), personally I think Apple can not afford these mistakes and more like this market is currently so competitive in the high segment.

Apple is in a period of transition, with Steve jobs and the separation with Google, where they are doing nonsense, it remains to be seen if they rectify or go to the mess, so they bet on ive to see if he washes the face of ios

but how can you be so absurd! What misleading advertising? Is it the case that the ads say that these photos do not have zoom? the ad shows what it shows, if more. And how absurd again when someone says "black bands !!" ohhh !! have you never seen them? joer because all mobile phones do the same! Everyone! If the camera does not take the photos to the proportion of the screen, how are they not going to be seen without black stripes? It is that it is made of pine wood box. Anyone who does not understand is that he is square-headed. The logical thing of all is that the camera takes photos at a standard size, which is 10 × 15 and then that they are displayed as they have to be displayed on whatever screen. What is not logical is that the photo has the format of the screen, why then when you go to print, what do you do? crop and load half the photo? or do you zoom? It is that you speak and issue articles if neither common sense nor realistic.

The rest of the terminals do the same, exactly the same.
