iOS 7 reaches 90% of the market

iOS 7

Apple has published an interesting update regarding the penetration of its new operating system iOS 7. According to the Cupertino firm, iOS 7 already has no less than 90% of the market. To arrive at these figures, Apple has used its App Store as a reference, evaluating all those who have entered said store during a period of 7 days that ended this past July 13. It is not clear however, the number of people operating under which versions of iOS 7.

In any case, this is good news for Apple, which sees how market fragmentation is not a problem that exists on your mobile platforml, unlike Android which is a mess in this regard. The Cupertino company has gone a step further and has highlighted to us that a 9% of active iOS devices run iOS 6.0 and only 2% run with an older version. Obviously, anyone who knows how to add will see that the sum of these percentages provides us with 101%, which is more than feasible for Apple to be rounding in these cases. We all know that Apple is obsessed with minimalism and it is much more "minimalist" to say "90%" than to say "89.72%."

In any case, the figures provided by Apple should also be taken with some caution. And it is that despite being figures offered by the company itself, it only takes into account those who have accessed the App Store in a week. I personally have iOS 7 and have not accessed the App Store in over 3 weeks. In this sense, if you access the App Store it is clear that you are more "involved" with your device and therefore more likely to have the latest version of its operating system. Those who have installed 3 or 4 applications since the iPhone was bought in 2011 are more likely to continue running iOS 6 and not enter the App Store, so the study should be taken with a certain degree of skepticism.

an answer a little out of place right? How heavy is the people who do not want more to say nonsense about the posts on this page ... my mother!

I mean the headline: when I saw it the first thing I thought was but what do you say, if the market is 80% android! Then you read the news and you see that what I wanted to say is that within the ios ecosystem 90% of devices have been updated to ios7. It will be yellowish or a bad decision but it seems to me that the headline is not the most appropriate. My opinion, of course

I'm sorry, I didn't pretend to be heavy, although I don't pretend to be the joy of the garden either. In any case, I don't think I've said any bullshit. Everyone has their points of view or their impressions. And against this page I have nothing, otherwise I would not look at it, but since they allow you to prostrate, well I do.

The issue is, how much percent of that percentage are really happy or want to have iOS 7? Because you can't force users to install iOS 7 and then brag about that percentage.

In my opinion it seems to me the worst design of all the operating systems that there are today. The only thing I see is white, white and whiter and the absence of contrasts, borders and shading, something that makes it easier to see and distinguish the icons and options.

Not to mention performance. My iPhone 5 with iOS 6 was much better and faster than the current iPhone 5S that I have. I am very unhappy and I will surely wait for a change in trends, both in terms of screen size and design to follow, to renew my phone.
