iOS 8 returns the photo to full screen in calls

iOS 8 features

Today we continue speaking on our iOS 8 blog. Because even though in Actualidad iPhone We have followed the presentation event of Apple's new operating system live, the truth is that with the first beta tests of iOS 8 that is already in the hands of developers, interesting new features are appearing with which we learn many things about it. Totally innovative things. Things that actually represent a turning point in Apple's current philosophy. And also things that in this new version recover previous functions that those who used other versions of iOS surely remember.

In this case, we want to tell you that probably, at least if Apple is reluctant to change what can be seen in the current iOS 8 beta, we will return to enjoy the photos of the contacts in full screen when someone calls us, or when we call. For users who did not know about this function, take a look at the previous image, since in it you can see what the function was like before Apple removed it.

Actually in iOS 7.1 and higher, What happens with this photograph that identifies the contacts from whom we receive calls is precisely very small. It is in fact reduced to a small piece of the screen in which we can barely see that person. However, this was not the case before, and Apple had already tested the full screen for its contacts, implying that in reality that function could be useful to transmit closeness to those people who are far away.

Although the anecdote did not have much explanation when iOS 7.1 appeared that left no trace of viewing the call contacts in full screen, it seems that Apple, even without explaining it publicly, returns to what it thinks already worked, and that in the version prior to iOS 8 it should not have changed.

A great little return ... interesting given that Apple boasts so much of giving importance to details and this is precisely what it is. Do we know if in iOS 8 the photos with which we personalize the wallpaper will continue to be automatically resized? It is another one of those details in which iOS 7 failed… There is no way for the personalized photo to maintain its resolution (neither by deactivating parallax, nor by taking a screenshot, nor by adjusting the resolution of the photo).

Theirs is that they returned it to me in iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 ...

Well, I have the beta of iOS 8 and I have already made calls and received and the photos do not come out like that, will it be some configuration? Or will Apple just put them in their Keynote Lara to give an image to the presentation?

As far as we know it will be a feature of iOS 8. But as I say, it can be changed at any time. In any case, as you say, coming out in the presentation of the keynote, I think it will be difficult for them to change their minds, even more so when that feature was already in iOS 7. Greetings!

I think you will see it in the next betas. If not, safe in the final version. Unless Apple denies what is shown in the keynote. Something very difficult. Greetings!!

I did several tests and for it to work, I think the Cupertino people put a condition on us so that we can see the large photos. They have to be in the profile of the person in high resolution. Ex: if you use Facebook to update the photos of your contacts ... it will not work. Try to choose a contact, take a photo with the camera, or select a photo from the reel… ..Bingo! now it does appear in calls. I hope it helps you. If you see another way to do it, let's share it.

In fact, in beta 2 they are already full screen but I think it is as you say, it only works with high resolution photos, with FB they do not appear full screen.

And now that the jailbreak for ios 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 came out, will there be a tweak that will give us the complete image?
