I don't like the side buttons either, they seem very inelegant. And another thing that I do not like at all are the 2 cuts in the aluminum housing. I know that they are to separate the parts of the antenna and such, but they are very unsightly. The curved casing has its charm, but that it's straight isn't bad either.
In short, in terms of design I do not see it much better than the previous model, but the 2 are still beautiful, and ... I WANT ONE NOW! XD
the iphone 3gs looks more like a 3g because the back letters are not bright
