IPhone alarms can fail with time change

20110329-014613.jpg

Once again Apple has problems with iPhone alarms, although it seems that it is only affecting certain users in the United Kingdom.
For now there is not much information, although it is speculated that it may be due to a bug in iOs 4.3.
Have any of you detected a problem with the iPhone alarms?

    It has happened to me.
I have version 4.1, and it has not rung me
I've been doing tests, and it works for me only if I configure it to sound every day.
The alarms that I had generated for the week do not sound, so I will have to set them for the whole week and deactivate them on Saturdays and Sundays
a grace, but at least I already have it tying, because yesterday I was late for work

On my iphone 4 and 4.2.1 the alarms that I have programmed were still jumping to the old time. Although it said 7:30 it sounded at 6:30. In other words, it did not update.

If it happens to me, I'm from Venezuela and sometimes it rings half an hour later, other times an hour later.

I have not been able to determine why sometimes it is half an hour and sometimes an hour, but they never ring at the time that I have it programmed, in fact I have to use my first generation iPhone with an alarm clock because the iPhone 4 does not work for me

    regards

Well, mine, iPhone 4 with 4.1 and jailbreak ... I got up an hour before two days. I had to reprogram the alarms again because they sounded an hour earlier

Well, since the time change he wakes me up an hour before. iPhone 4 in 4.1

It has worked well for me, since Monday I have had a second alarm clock in case the flies but the iPhone has not yet failed !!

I am from Barcelona and I have version 4.1 with jailbreak and I also have the problem of alarms. Only those that are not scheduled periodically work for me, but only to sound once. All the others ring to me 1 hour before.

I do not know what you think, but I find it quite pathetic on the part of a prestigious company like Apple, that every time the time is changed the same problem occurs. Couldn't they fix it once and for all? That said, is pathetic.

  8.   Tharos said

I with a 4.2.1 and iphone 4 have had no problems. I changed the time automatically and the alarms continue to work well and wake me up on time ... I would not mind if they were wrong to blame that on the job XDDD

    regards

It has happened to me too. It rings at the old time, an hour before. But it only happens when it is an alarm programmed for several days, if I use an alarm without repetition it works correctly.

I have an Iphone 4 with version 4.1.

    A greeting!

I am with Manuel ... That this happens to Apple is shameful, some of us have paid almost € 300 for this device so that it does not do something as simple as updating its time. By the way, I have the iphone 4 with jaikbreak and 4.1
    Embarrassing, come on.

I have the iphone 4 with 4.2.1 and the jailbreak done, without modifying the old alarms it has sounded to me at the right time.

Hello, I have not had any problem, the time was changed automatically and the alarm rang at the right time, I have an iphone 4 with ios 4.3
    Greetings.

The alarms have worked well for me on Sunday and Monday without reprogramming them, yesterday I deleted them all in case and I put them back and this morning it has sounded an hour before.

I with iphone 4 and 4.2.1 jailbreak without any problem, the time was changed automatically and the alarms work correctly

  15.   m4r1n said

iphone 4 with 4.2.1 with jailbreak rang without any problem and changed at the time alone. I have the alarm without programming, I activate it every night, I don't know if having it programmed for X days is when it fails.

  16.   Frank said

I have the iPhone 4 with OS 4.3.1 and I have not had any failure in the alarm. As information I will tell you that my alarm is set at 6'50 am from Monday to Friday.

    Greetings.

From what is deduced from your comments, the problem must be with iOS 4.1 because the rest have had no problems.

I have 4.2.1 and everything is correct.

  18.   Ralphy said

Well yesterday my dear iPhone woke me up an hour earlier because it felt like it. Last night I cleared all the alarms and set them up again. But, SURPRISE !! This morning the same story. Any help or can I report Apple for sleep damage? XD

  19.   zerocoolspain said

One thing, the people who have failed, do they have their iPhone free from the factory or is it from the company? It seems that the free factory (like mine) have not failed, or at least I do not know of people who have failed

  20.   Miguel said

With the 4.1 I have had the same failure, it sounds an hour before.
My alarms are for several days (Monday to Friday over and over to weekends).
I have tried to delete and create them and it fails.
I have tried to remove the automatic update of the time, delete them and create them, but it fails too.
If I put one that is repeated, but of a single day, in order to create an equal one for each day of the week, it also fails.
Therefore, either you put them by hand day after day, or you add them an hour ... that if, as one day you do not fail, you are late.
    Solution

Well, I with 4.1 Jailbreak and I have the problem of the alarms ... they do not sound. I have 2 scheduled from Monday to Friday. if I create a new one for a specific time it works without problem. I have deleted them and have recreated them, although from what is said it will continue to give problems ... Any solution?

  23.   LUIS said

Have you noticed that everyone who says they have problems, or 99% of them, still use iOS 4.1? in 4.1 is where it gave us the problems when delaying the time, but everyone who has 4.2.1 has no problem with alarms. I have iOS 4.2.1 with jailbreak and the alarms continue to sound perfectly, without reconfiguring anything

  24.   lysergio said

It has not failed me either, and from what I am reading, it is not that the problem is not solved, but that there are people who have not updated (for not losing the jailbreak), and it has failed again, but the problem has been fixed as of 4.2.1

    Regards…

    Iphone 4, 4.2.1 + jailbreak = no problem.

  26.   Grandpa said

Like almost everyone, it sounds like an hour before; I have 3GS with iOS 4.1 and jailbreak.

  27.   PabloMartino said

I have the 4.2 with Jailbreak and I had to watch Formula 1 delayed because the alarm did not sound ... yes, on Monday he told me that I had to go to work ...

  28.   Edu said

I comment on my situation, at dawn on Saturday my iPhone 4 with version 4.2.1 with jailbreak automatically changes from 02:00 to 03: 00… everything is correct there. however… early Sunday morning… I wake up at 5:30 in the morning… to go to work and I look at my iPhone…. and instead of marking 5:30, it marks me that it is 4:30… I mean, I had been delayed again. I woke up because I have another mobile alarm apart from the iphone but…. I have the time correctly set because I have it in manual mode… .If I put it in automatic mode, it sets the winter time.
It happens to someone else? There are more people than if ... if someone knows how to solve the problem or something to tell me. thanks people!

    I have iPhone 4 version 4.1.
To those who have not failed to trust my alarms worked well on Sunday and
Monday, until I delete them and put them back on, which rang an hour earlier

  30.   Ralphy said

I have the 4.2+ jailbreak… any solution for this? How was it solved the other time?

  31.   David said

Yesterday with ios 4.3 the alarm worked well, today with 4.3.1 it marks me one hour less and of course the alarm has failed me.

Luckily the human body has its own biological clock and I woke up at the exact hour and minute: O

By the way, if I set the clock to automatic it continues to show 1 hour less, I had to leave the clock in manual mode.

What a shame, thank goodness these guys don't program nuclear power plants or space rockets.

I communicated it in the forum and they did not pay much attention to me. The alarms are not fixed by deleting and recreating them as in previous occasions. I had to set it to ring at 9 to wake me up at 8, but I am afraid that they will fix themselves and be late.

  33.   bcnblue said

    Good,

On March 31st, the alarm continues to sound an hour before !!!!!
I've cleared the alarms, rebooted the phone, and nothing at all.
I'll have to go to the apple store to tell me what.
    to.

    Thanks for your comments.
I also have an iPhone 4 version 4.1 and the weekly alarm was failing me. I'm late for work today… I'll update it and hope it gets fixed.

    Hello everyone.
Well yes, since the time change, my iPhone wakes me up an hour earlier than it should. I have reprogrammed the alarm. I have disabled this alarm. I have triggered a new alarm and it keeps doing the same.
Incredible that they sell it as the latest mobile wonder and fail in something so basic.
A slap on the wrist for Apple iphone programmers. Although for the price that these terminals have, they deserve a demand from consumers.

Hi, I'm from Venezuela, I have iOS 4.2.1 and the alarm was working fine, now after Easter it sounds half an hour after what was programmed, that if I put it on Monday through Friday or several days ... I would schedule daily, that is to say, day by day ... What seems strange to me is that Venezuela changed the time zone some time ago for half an hour more and I imagine that there comes the failure ... Greetings!

Has anyone here realized that almost all those who fail have the jailbreak done? Perhaps someone can blame apple after hacking the device. When we do the jailbreak it warns us that something may fail, because that must be one of them.

  41.   matias said

Well, I do not have the jailbreack in the 3gs and I also fail

  42.   Mario said

Mine is an unlocked 3G 4.1 and if I put it to ring 1 only time it does it well but if I program it weekly it does it badly I say goodbye 1 hour before.

  43.   Emilio said

It happens to me that with the weekly notices that I have on the calendar, it gives me an hour's notice. I suppose it is by having the automatic adjustment, in the date and time settings.

I have an iPhone 5 I am from Costa Rica and I have had problems with my alarm every time it rings, the mobile sticks, it does not turn off, it does not respond and it rings in vibrator mode, half an hour passes until he only fixes that, it happened 2 days ago

Please check the dates! Can't you see that the iPhone 5 didn't even exist?
