Some of you already know iPhoneVM, a utility, which allows to use a paging file with 256 MB of RAM thereby improving the performance of the iPhone / iPod.
iPhoneVM 2, creates a 64Mb paging file, but of dynamic type, which makes it increase or decrease according to the needs of the device, so you will not see the increase in memory as it was seen in the first version.
In order to install it, you must have completed the jailbreak on the device.
They are incompatible with each other so when installing the iPhoneVM 2, the previous one is uninstalled.
iPhoneVM 2 is a utility Delivery to Italy takes one or two business days which can be downloaded from Cydia e Icy through the repository of beyouriphone.
If someone does not know and does not have this repository you can add it in Cydia or Icy, since in addition to this application you can take a pleasant surprise with the rest of the applications that are in the repository:

There are users who like the first version more and others the second.
As for tastes there is nothing written, everyone who wants to try it and decide.
This one also has a snack on the battery like the other one ??????
porke kon the other lasted me 4 hours.
Either it was for iphonvm or it was for sbsetting I still don't know.
do you recommend this for a 3gs with 3.1 ?? battery consumption ..? and if it's worth it, greetings
I installed the 1st version on my 3GS 32Gb and my mobile started to slow down, it took me like 6 or 7 minutes of clock to start up and when I did several things at the same time I didn't notice any difference.
This version works better at least on OS 3.1! It shows much more agility in the system in general and it does not have as many crashes as the previous version did when cleaning the memory with sbsettings. The team starts faster although it takes longer than normal. Excellent application to use with backgrounder and kirikae. My battery does not go fast, it lasts 1 day using it quietly, or a little more than half a day using it with all the fury. (I have an iPhone 3G)
I have installed it on my 3GS and I have gone from having »according to sbseting» 170Mb free to 63Mb…. So removed.
I updated to the second version, and the terminal would freeze ... for a long time waiting, I entered the system in safe mode, so I decided to eliminate said utility ... finally, I decided to run out of one, since it was not the great wonder
Let's see, for those of you who have 3Gs, why do you want more RAM ???
Well, the same thing happens to me, it froze on several occasions and I ended up uninstalling it, I certainly do not advise it, if you ever need more ram memory, use sbssetings, and do it yourself by hand.

Applications are not always the same as people.
You cannot discourage something because YOU have problems.
You can explain the problem that this application has given you or that you think it has given you this application, but you should not advise against it since there are thousands of users without problems.
Keep in mind that many of the problems are caused by the interrelation between certain applications and each of us has some, so most of the time it depends on what is installed and not on the application.
You cannot say for example: I have had problems with the jailbreak, I advise against doing the jailbreak ..., let me explain.
What's the joke of installing it on a 3Gs? They are not reading or they do not know why they paid so much = Yes this already has 256 MB of ram, why replace it with a paging file of 64 ¬¬ ...
I recommend it with my eyes closed (at least the first version is the one I have). I have not noticed anything as exaggerated in the battery as some say in other comments, but what I have noticed is that the speed of the terminal increases considerably, as well as the fluidity when moving between applications (using Kirikae, a beastly application). And I say that it does not eat so much battery because I have installed it for 3 or 4 days and last night I left the phone without plugging in because I was tired and I did not feel like getting up to get the charger and I left it before sleeping at 8% battery. When I picked up the phone after 8 hours it was at 4% battery. Which means that the battery consumption will depend on what is used or not used. At rest it still has more or less the same charge.
I still think that the iPhone battery is not bad when compared to other terminals on the market, if not that the power of the "bug" that we have in our hands is enormous. If we save the battery and use the iPhone as if it were a normal phone, that is, without being connected all the time to msn, to safari, listening to streaming music, watching videos on YouTube pulling 3g, putting the brightness of our « pantallote »to the maximum, without using google maps and all that amount of applications and functionalities it has, the battery can last as long as any other phone on the market. We just do good energy management and off.
When we want to give it a cane, it is better to be in a place with a plug or carry a battery to be able to recharge it again.
I know that the iPhone, honestly, is the best phone I have ever had in my life and I have had more than 60 phones because I have always liked them and I have made the most of them, including several Nokia and giving the symbian os
Well, something terrible happened to me, I installed this application and I deleted the appsyng 3.1 and the backgrounder and the funniest thing is that I desistale it to recover the two applications and now it does not let me install either of the two, it gives me an error due to the firmware
I have tried it with all versions and it keeps telling me that nothing
I have firmware 3.1.2, because c …… this has happened to me.
Thank you!!
It helped ME to be able to play We Rule calmly !!
