Due to my studies, I usually spend a lot of time in laboratories surrounded by oscilloscopes since it is a very useful tool for us, in fact, recently we decided to make a portable oscilloscope that made use of Bluetooth connectivity to transmit the signal to the mobile phone or tablet, However, the limitation of this type of connection within iOS devices made the project totally unviable.
Now, iPad or iPhone users have the first serious and commercial alternative that comes from the company Oscium and whose name is IMSO-104. This oscilloscope connects to the 30-pin port and allows us to view an analog signal and up to 4 digital signals.
Of course, through the IMSO application (free) we can vary the parameters of these signals such as their frequency, amplitude or the trigger speed of the oscilloscope.
The IMSO-104 COSTS $ 297,99 and although it is not entirely cheap, it is a great alternative for a home user who makes use of this type of instrument in their work life (or as a hobby, of course).
