Italy launches its mobile app to track the coronavirus

The controversy over the privacy of users continues to be the controversy regarding the new applications to track the coronavirus, in this case all people who want and reside in Italy already have the app available Immuni, based on the Apple and Google API.

Italy is thus positioned as one of the first countries to launch its application based on these Exposure Notifications focused on security and privacy from Apple and Google to offer digital contact tracking for coronavirus. Just a week ago we also announced the implementation of this API for your own app in Switzerland.

So, in Italy they already have an application developed directly with Apple and Google's contact tracing API. The country's Ministry of Health describes the Immuni application as an important and official app to obtain data notifying about exposure to the coronavirus. This app has been developed by the Extraordinary Commissioner for the COVID-19 Emergency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Innovation, Technology and Digitization of the country.

For now as well as "personal opinion" if I may, I do not understand the reason for the controversy with this API from Apple and Google to create applications that serve to stop the pandemic in which the entire planet is involved. I really believe that this type of application should already be launched in all countries, including ours, which suffered in a significant way from the attack of this COVID-19 coronavirus.
