iVigilo Smartcam Pro, turn your iPhone into a security camera

A few days ago we presented the iVigilo Video Suite application that transformed the iPhone into a live broadcasting system, it allowed us to apply effects to our videos and we could make videos using the timelapse option.

Today we present a new application developed by Naboo: iVigilo Smartcam Pro. This app turns any iOS device into a surveillance system that can be activated if it detects movements or faces in the area we want to cover.

Giving this concept a further twist, iVigilo Smartcam Pro can send us an alert with a key frame (with face detection, for example) to our email or Twitter.

Of course, the video broadcast that the iPhone is making is accessible from almost all browsers. In the application settings we can configure the quality of the recording, select the camera to use (front or rear), decide whether to activate the flash or not, ...

We remind you that to enjoy iVigilo Smartcam Pro it is essential to have iOS 5 installed on your device.

If you have any questions about the use of this application, Naboo has published an instruction manual (link) to resolve any issue related to iVigilo Smartcam Pro.

iVigilo Smartcam Pro costs only 1,59 euros and you can download it by clicking on the following link:

I recommend SpyCAM to turn the iPhone into a digital recorder, which does not send emails in real time, but which triggers the video recording by motion or noise detection and if the phone moves because someone picks it up, the application closes automatically. It is also FREE.

The usefulness of SpyCam cannot be compared with that of iVigilo Smartcam Pro. It is not about spying on people, it is about using the iPhone as a security system and being able to see from anywhere what is happening and in real time.

I see that there is a free version, what difference does it make?

Sorry for my ignorance: does the iPhone act as a camera or connect to IP cameras? If it is the iPhone that acts as a camera, great, I leave it at home as a surveillance camera and buy another to call and have them call me… It's absurd if that's the case. I would not find the application useful.

Oh, and by the way, let them come in and steal my iOS device that acts as a camera… It's great, right?
