Used equipment, iphone 4 from telus (canada), using Movistar / Telcel (mexico)
Gevey yes.
SAM tickets generated when it could in 5.0.1.
Custom Firmware generated by iFaith 1.5.1, this in order not to update the baseband (03.10.01)
Results:
As recommended by Team Evad3rs, jailbreak done in a fresh installation to avoid problems when doing the jailbreak. (like the ones that many users are having)
The first thing you will notice is that the native weather app will stop working, for now this is normal and you have to wait for a correction (not everyone does, but most does).
The gevey sim continues to work. (remember, only baseband 04.10.01 or lower).
The cydia extension UltraSn0wCN that made any gevey (even Chinese) untethered did not work for me.
The tikects generated with SAM for the release, still work, but now there is a problem, once installed and when restarting, the iphone will ask for activation again. If you do not have the original iphone sim, you will not be able to go from here. After having activated using the original sim, now if you can use the sim for which you have the SAM ticket.
