Seeing Apple gadgets on a TV show or series is nothing new. On the contrary, it seems to be the norm today in most North American productions. However, we rarely see really blatant advertising for an Apple gadget like this time. The program? The Late Show With Jimmy Fallon. The product? An iPad Air.
On the show Jimmy Fallon invited Billy Joel to sing a song with him. Jimmy is not a singer, in fact he has been an actor for most of his career, so to help him used an app by the name of Loopy. The app in question is used so that once you sing a verse (typically a monotonous rhythm) the app repeats that verse in a loop. The app was ideal for singing the song "Lion Sleeps Tonight" by Billy Joel for the initial tones that within the original song are repeated in a loop.
Loopy is quite interesting for those who like to sing. Offers us up to 12 simultaneous loops in its most affordable version of $2.69. It has a few pre-integrated loops and it is possible to add new ones to the library from our computer. As if all this were not enough, the app also allows you to record your song, post it on Facebook, send it by email and even connect a microphone via bluetooth to obtain the best sound quality.
It is true that we are facing an advertising that is less violent but for color tastes, right? I personally resent shows, series or movies that do this. It reminds me of when I was little and watched some children's soap operas where they were constantly promoting the same 3-4 products.
Incredible what can be achieved with an app !!!
With an app just no, hehe. You need an ear and a sense of rhythm, if these last 2 are of little use, the first 😉
