We iOS users really like Apple's "simple" keyboard. I say that it is simple because it does not do anything special, such as allowing us to write words by sliding over the letters. The good thing about the default keyboard, or rather, the bad thing about third-party keyboards is that they tend to work jerkily, especially when switching between languages or using the Emoji keyboard. In any case, Microsoft's latest proposal has already reached the App Store: Word flow. The bad: it is only available in the American App Store.
And why has it come only to the United States store? Well the truth, having tried the previous Hub Keyboard proposal, I think they should have done the same with that keyboard. In my opinion, the launch of Word Flow is hasty because, like the Hub, it only includes support for US English. But don't panic, because Microsoft promises that it will also be available in other languages. The downside is that they haven't said anything about when.
Word Flow, a Microsoft keyboard that promises
Without a doubt, if Word Flow has something special it would be the curved keyboard. As you can see in the capture that heads this post, keyboard curves and the letters furthest from our thumb are at the bottom, which will allow us to write with one hand even if we use a 5.5-inch iPhone. Certainly a good idea that I can miss when I look at things on my iPhone from the bed and want to respond.
In addition, like many other third-party keyboards, Word Flow also supports swipe to write, which I have found very comfortable whenever I have tried it but, as I said, I do not use an alternative keyboard due to its lack of fluidity. The truth is that I want to try this Microsoft keyboard and I even signed up for its beta (which I did not try), but it will not help me if it is not available in Spanish. It will take patience.
