After a week without updates, it was already strange that one had software news at Apple, but true to their appointment on Mondays they have released new betas for most of their operating systems: iOS 10.2 Beta 4, watchOS 3.1.1 Beta 4 and macOS 10.12.2 Beta 4. for now only Apple TV has been left out of this round of updates that are currently only available in the developer portal and that are gradually reaching those users with previous Betas installed via OTA. These new trial versions may be the last before the release of the final versions available to all users.
The news that these new versions bring are not many, nor are they of great importance:
- New Emoji for iOS, watchOS and macOS, including some long-awaited ones like paella
- New effects in the Messages application for special celebrations and for messages of love
- New TV application, which at the moment is limited only to the version for the United States, and of which we do not know if it will be launched outside the North American country
- Small aesthetic changes in the interface of the Music application, which also incorporates the possibility of rating songs with stars
- New emergency system that after a first Beta in which it was in all regions is now limited to India.
- New icon for the status bar when we connect a headset or hands-free
- The Feedback application reappears to send feedback on bugs that we find in the Beta directly to Apple
- New Widget for the TV and / or Videos application
- New option to keep the Camera app settings
As you can see, the update is focused on iOS, where most of the news is accumulated. In addition to these changes are the traditional "stability and performance improvements." The version for registered users will be released soon in the Public Beta. UPDATE: they are now also available to registered users in the Public Beta program.
