The keyboard dock is a great companion to the iPad when it comes to writing long documents, in addition, it offers a series of key combinations that can make things much easier when working:

- CMD - x: cut selected text
- CMD - v: paste
- CMD - z: undo
- CMD - shift - z: Redo
- CMD - Up Arrow: jump to the beginning of the document
- CMD - Down Arrow: jump to the end of the document
- CMD - Left Arrow: jump to the beginning of the line
- CMD - Right Arrow: jump to the end of the line

- F8: play / pause
- F9: skip a song
- F10: mute

The downside is that not all supported bluetooth keyboards or all apps can properly take advantage of these keyboard shortcuts.
