Looking for the best music streaming service for iOS

iTunes Radio

A few days ago we told you about the arrival of the official Google Music app for iOS, an interesting application that gets on the music streaming bandwagon. And it is that as I have already commented on other occasions, Internet is the future and we must find ways to legalize the consumption of online content.

Since some years online music consumption has found its place (legal) in several companies that provide us with large music libraries in streaming (reproduction through the internet). The truth is that it is a system that works quite well although you have to analyze all its characteristics since if we are careless we can be restricted by our data plan. Music streaming services that also have their app for iOS, and on which we are going to help you in your decision on which to choose. After the jump, we analyze the services with the most users!

iTunes Radio

One of the options that you have available by default on your devices is iTunes Radio, a service that Apple launched with iOS 7 through which we can listen to predefined music lists (we will not be able to listen to complete albums or select songs for example) by Apple on various musical styles. It is a service completely free although we will have to listen to announcements between song and song.

Keep in mind that at the moment iTunes Radio is only available for the United States, although this is not entirely true, since with having an American Apple ID we can use it in any country (including Spain). iTunes Radio is a streaming service, so we won't be able to download any song (unless we buy it).

Google Music

One of the latest to come to iOS has two versions: Free or Premium. Starting by the free one we will tell you that it does not stream to use, it works in the iTunes Match style since we will have to upload our own music and we will stream it. We will not have a free music library.

If we talk about the Premium version (€ 9,99 per month) we will have that music library, we can listen to music offline without any limitation. If you like something you have heard you can buy it.

Spotify

We start with the two greats of this world. Spotify is undoubtedly the company par excellence of music streaming, although it must be said that it has been highly criticized by many musicians due to its payment policy, but hey, those are other issues ...

Spotify has a free version, we can enjoy 10 hours a month but we will not be able to download music or use streaming through its app for iOS so it is limited to computers. The next version, Unlimited (€ 4,99 per month), limits us to continue using streaming on computers without being able to use the app for iOS although in this case we will have neither advertising nor limitations of time listening.

And finally, the version Premium (€ 9,99 per month) allows us to fully enjoy Spotify, as we will not have any limitations. And the most interesting thing is that we can use the app for iOS and get the most out of it.

Deezer

Deezer is the other great of streaming, he has three plans identical to Spotify but with different names (Discover, Premium and Premium +) with the same prices and limitations, something more than obvious since if you want to compete with Spotify you have to follow their policy ...

Which to choose?

Now comes the dilemma, and that is there is a lot of offer (we have forgotten about services like Rdio with similar services) but they all offer more or less the same. I who have used the four services that I talk about in the post, I will say that I lean in favor of Spotify (and I do not take commission) I think it is the one that offers the best quality, and in which you can find more artists.

As well I really liked the experience with iTunes Radio since it fulfills what they say.

And you, What music streaming service do you use?

Grooveshark and Jango for me without the best and they are free

I'm definitely with my colleague Landaso, Grooveshark
And for me, paying for streaming to use it only on computers seems like the world's scam.

I tried using Grooveshark because it's free, but nah… it works if you like Lady Gaga and the like but using it directly in Safari for iPad is not fun at all. I tried Spotify, but its application is horrendous. I stay with Deezer for its application, but when iTunes Radio falls in Mexico I will get Match, for having the availability of my library on any device anywhere.

    Greetings.
