We often show you Cydia tweaks that allow us to modify the appearance of the lock screen or the Springboard of your device, but those tweaks often cost money, and sometimes it doesn't seem profitable for you to spend X euros simply by changing the color of the text on the clock on the lock screen ... Today I present to you Magic Colors, a recent tweak in Cydia that allows us to customize the Springboard and the lock screen to our liking. What is the best of all this? Changing iOS colors and layout with MagicColors
magiccolors it's a free tweak that you can find in the official repo of modmyi that you should have natively in Cydia. It is developed by vXBaKeRXv and is at version 1.0. It is important to comment that the tweak is compatible with iOS 7 and iOS 8.
All the MagicColors settings can be found in the iOS Settings where we will have a special menu for the tweak. We have two sections that we can modify: StatusBar and LockScreen-Springboard. In each one we have different parameters to edit (if we want) but I am going to focus on the second one:
- Two-tone colors: If we want to change the color of the letters on the lock screen / Springboard, we can do so by choosing the two colors by clicking on the gray icon that we find to the right of each text.
- Springboard settings: We can hide the icons that show the pages we have and the name of the applications (which are placed below the icon).
- Lock screen settings: And here we can hide many things such as the battery, the text 'slide to unlock', the camera icon, the date and time ...
Whenever we make a change either in the status bar, lock screen or Springboard it is necessary to do a respring or press the 'buttonrespring Changes'available in the menu within the Settings of Magic Colors.
