Although Apple's iWork suite is one of the best options for create documents and presentations (Pages, Keynote and Numbers) there are other applications that allow us to do the same but with other tools and functions in a totally different way, such as the suite Office of Microsoft that covers three (or four, it depends how we see it) different applications which have been updated at the same time today: Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel. What's new in version 1.12 of the Microsoft Office suite
Microsoft took too long to port their Office suite to iOS devices and due to that bug, those of Cupertino stole their land which will be very difficult to recover since iWork offers us many facilities when it comes to synchronizing files and even creating them. For new users, iWork is free while to use Microsoft apps we need a subscription.
Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel They have been updated today to version 1.12 with a very important novelty that we tell you here:
- Outlook: Send any file created with these applications through Outlook. At the end of the submission, you will automatically return to the Microsoft Office app you were in. It is one more step for these apps to fully integrate with Outlook since in previous updates we were already allowed to edit files.
In addition to this update, they remind us of other recent improvements:
- Two-way writing languages such as Arabic or Hebrew
- View protected documents
- Much more optimized sharing
- New storage options compatible with iCloud and other services like Dropbox
- Insert media files from camera
