It is not very common to find a platform game for the iPhone that is well developed. The absence of physical controls makes handling in some games too complicated or imprecise on many occasions. It is not the case of Mikey Hooks, a fantastic game that we recommend without any doubt after having tried it on the iPhone. For the handling of the character there are a total of four buttons.
On the left side we find those who are in charge of moving the character to the left or right. On the other side of the screen we see two round buttons that serve to jump or for Mikey Hooks to slide on the floor and take up less space to be able to go through smaller places. 
Like good platformer, Mikey Hooks has to go overcoming different enemies and obstacles in a total of 36 levels. Its graphic appearance in two dimensions makes us move to another time when arcade video games were very famous for being very addictive and also very difficult. Nor can we forget the soundtrack that accompanies Mikey Hooks, worth listening to with headphones because it transmits tension if we try to complete each screen in the shortest possible time, an essential requirement to achieve the highest number of stars.
At each level there are also coins that we can collect to buy objects with which we can customize the appearance of the main character of the game. In total there are more than 220 costumes that will provide a personalized touch to our liking.
Story mode It seems a bit short to us. It is true that getting all the stars will take us many hours of play but if that is not our purpose, we will pass the game in no time. Luckily, there is a Racing mode in which we have to compete to reach the top at the end of each screen, something that will not be easy. What I like the most about career mode is that a ghost is saved with our best time, so we can see the place where we have failed or find an alternative to reach our destination in less time.
Mikey Hooks is a highly recommended game that cannot be missing from your list of games for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Its price is 1,79 euros but I think they are well invested.

With your piece of review I have bought it, but the truth is that the game has left me a little cold, and the music is good but after a while it gets tired because it is short and looped.
For the price, I give it a peeled 5.
