The Asus company took advantage of the framework provided by the IFA that has been held these days in Berlin to present the third generation of its smartwatch baptized with the name Zenwatch 3. The company has been learning from its previous mistakes and has just launched a beautiful device , both aesthetically and visually, it can perfectly compete with the second generation Moto 360, the highest representative in the world of round smartwatches. The Asus Zenwatch 3 offers us a 1,39-inch round screen with a resolution of 400 × 400 and 287 requests per inch. As you can see in the image that heads this article, it is aesthetically very similar, both in shape and in the number of buttons, to the second generation Moto 360.
The case of this device is made of steel and It will be available in three different colors: black, silver and rose gold. All models integrate a golden crown on the outside of the glass, offering a very appreciable detail for watch lovers, whether they are smart or classic hands.
This device offers us a thickness of 9,95 millimeters, being a little thinner than its more direct rivals; Huawei Watch and the second-generation Moto 360. Inside this device we find the Snapdragon 2100 processor with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. As for the battery, Achilles heel of this type of device, we find 342 mAh, with which according to the manufacturer we will be able to spend two days without having to charge it.
It also has fast charging that allows you to recharge 60% of the device's battery in just 15 minutes. But if the battery life can be scarce, the firm offers us a complement with which we can expand the battery up to 40%. ANDl Asus Zenwatch 3 allows us to customize the sphere of the device with up to 50 different models, all of them installed natively.
The expected date for its arrival on the European market has not been announced. If we talk about the price, Asus wants to get fully involved with this fantastic device, selling the device for 229 euros, a very competitive price especially if we compare it with its maximum rivals. The Asus ZenWatch 3 is powered by Android Wear. At the moment the only manufacturer that is contrary in the world of smartwatches is Samsung with its own operating system Tizen, which offers much tighter battery consumption than Android Wear.
