New storage option for iOS: iStick

During the last CES held in Las Vegas earlier this year, Scandisk introduced a dual device for Android devices, which had internal memory, like any pen but with two connections, a micro USB and a USB connection. It is about to be released, but it is only valid only for Android devices.

IOS users, we have several alternatives to expand the storage of our device, but they are not exactly comfortable to carry. Fortunately that has changed. We are talking about iStick, a device with two connections: lightning and USB that allows us to expand the capacity of the device and with which we can share content through USB.

The manufacturer, Hyper, has commented that it carries two years working on the device and recently approved by Apple:

Unsurprisingly, Apple takes a lot of cautions with iOS storage products like the iStick. For more than two years we have prepared the application to use with this device that has finally received MFI certification. The process has not been easy, but we have managed to deal with all the doubts and problems that Apple did not express about our project.

Regarding capabilities, we are talking about devices that go from 8 GB to 64 GB maximum, finding 16 and 32 GB devices. To use this device, we will have to download the necessary application to communicate with it and that will allow users to transfer content from one device to another. The company notes that iStick will allow users the ability to play movies (including native video formats), music, and directly open files without having to first copy them to the device.

Cuando el producto esté disponible para los usuarios finales que no han colaborado en el proyecto de Kickstarter, los precios serán de 129 dólares para 8 GB, 169 dólares para 16 GB, 199 dólares para disponer de 32 GB y para disfrutar de 64 GB deberemos pagar 299 dólares, pero si os animáis y queréis colaborar con el proyecto, que is still in the collection phase, you will have a 50% discount.
