New Google Photos update with new features and improvements

Currently in the market, the only service that offers us, completely free of charge, unlimited space in our cloud to store any type of photography or video is Google Photos. Although it has a small print that does not affect many users thanks to the new trends of mobile device manufacturers, at least in terms of photography we speak. Google Photos allows us to store any photograph with a resolution lower than 16 Mpx without any kind of limit. If we talk about video, we can also store any type of video but with a resolution lower than 4k.

A couple of months ago, Google updated the Photos application by integrating Spotlight into the search engine, so that we can also search for photos stored in the cloud through the iOS search engine. The Mountain View-based company has just released a new update that allows you to crop photos directly from the cloud, without having to download them to your device and then upload them again to store the changes. This can be a good idea or a bad idea, depending on the needs of the users.

But in addition, Google has also improved the operation of the application in terms of battery consumption, a fierce consumption when the images began to be uploaded automatically. Data consumption with this app is also a nightmare, nightmare that according to Google has improved considerably especially when we search the entire library stored in the cloud.

According to the latest usage data provided by Google, Google Photos service is storing about 13.7 petabytes. Of all this information, around 24.000 million correspond to selfies. This application is available for free download and is compatible as of iOS 8.1 version. The only requirement to use this service is to have a Gmail account.

Am I the only one at which the price of having google photos seems too expensive for the service they offer "free"?

I don't have it and I hope I never have it.

I ask this because in everything I see on the net it seems to me that I am the only one who does not want to have it for that price.
