The Cut the Rope series of skill games has become very popular. The mini green monster protagonist of the game is about to make the definitive leap to fame. Soon, according to the studies responsible for the development of the game, will have its own application. The new plans they have in TouchArcade for him happen to be the star of a virtual pet application.

The arrival of Om Nom, which is what the protagonist is called, is planned for next week, when according to the developers of ZeptoLabs the launch of the new virtual pet is expected. This time we will have to take care of our pet, attending to the daily needs of our little candy-loving monster. Our responsibilities to him include playing with him, feeding him candy, and keeping him happy.

The official website of the game offers us a contest, which once completed, informs us that our pet Om Nom will arrive in ten days. The game, according to TouchArcade, is scheduled for release next Thursday, December 18. In the game, and for the first time in the short history of Om Nom, the protagonist will be accompanied by a little monster candy eater. Our little greenish companion is called Om Nelle.

The game's Russian developers are setting huge milestones with the Cut the Rope saga. In total, the games have been downloaded more than four hundred million times and they are available on a large number of platforms, including iOS, Android, OS X, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo 3DS and it is even available to play from the computer through a web application.

In September 2012, ZeptoLabs already announced that their plans included the launches of different products related to Om Nom, so this new virtual pet simulator does not catch us unprepared.
