On October 20, Steve Stroughton Smith discovered that iOS 10 had a hidden keyboard that will allow us to type with one hand even if we use a 5.5-inch iPhone and we do not have large hands. To access the keyboard in question we would only have to slide to the right from the left to do it with the right thumb or the opposite to do it with the left thumb. They didn't take long to create and launch OneHanded, a tweak from Cydia that will allow us to test that keyboard.
OneHanded works exactly the same as what Steve discovered works, sliding from the edge to shorten the keyboard and to show the editing keys (cut, copy, paste and undo) that are also available when we write in landscape mode on an iPhone 6 or later and on any iPad. The size of the keyboard once shortened is roughly the same as on any iPhone with a 3,5 or 4-inch screen.

Regarding the official version, it is impossible to know when we will be able to use this keyboard, but there are two possibilities: in spring or from the summer of 2017. Personally, I am more inclined to think that this keyboard will be one of the novelties available in spring, when Apple launches a great update that in 2016 included Night Shift, among others. A dark mode was also discovered in which the interface became totally black, which was reason for speculation about the arrival of OLED screens on the apple smartphone.
As for OneHanded, it is a free tweak which is available in the BigBoss repository. At the time of writing these lines only works on iOS 9, the latest version of iOS for which a public jailbreak is available.
