Have you received a message in the last weeks reminding you to activate the Apple TV + trial period? Have you activated it? A trial period that allows us to enjoy Apple TV for free for 1 year, as long as we have bought a new device since last September. Paradoxically, even Apple offering us 1 year for free, some US analysts claim that only 10% of users eligible for this year's free trial have activated it. And the truth is that the data is worrying considering the competition of the guys from Cupertino in terms of streaming video. According to the American media there are Three possible reasons why Apple TV + is getting such a bad reception despite the free year:
- There is lthe possibility that Apple has not effectively promoted Apple TV + despite having 1.5 billion devices eligible for these promotions.
- Apple would have deliberately escalated promotions to mitigate the negative impact of users who decide to leave the service.
- Apple TV + is not making itself known, perhaps due to its limited catalog, in contrast to the launch of Disney + (which comparatively achieved 10 million subscribers in 1 day, despite offering a two-week free trial compared to the year offered by Apple).
We will see if Apple gets more users based on the new additions to the catalog, a catalog that, although it promises a lot by having big stars, has to compete with Netflix, Amazon, HBO, and the new Disney +. Great competitors to face with good content and above all with a good promotion,
Another cause is that there is no apple tv + app for smart tv's from 2017 onwards.
Only the samsung and lg 2018-2020 have the application, if I want to see a movie I want to do it on the tv and not on the ipad or iphone?
