When the creators of Crossy Road created PAC-MAN 256, surely they did not expect that the game would not be as successful as its previous title. It is likely that for users this new version of PAC-MAN is nothing more than a 2.0 version of the game of the hen that has to dodge obstacles to reach its destination, a game that was in turn a modern edition of a game very old I don't remember the name of called Frogger who did the same with a frog. To me personally it is something that surprises me, but things have been like that.
Be that as it may, this has not discouraged Hipster Whale, developer of both games, in the least and has decided to bring PAC-MAN 256 to the big screen, in our living room, launching the version for tvOS, an operating system that, as you know , use the XNUMXth generation Apple TV. Personally, if I have to choose between PAC-MAN 256 or Crossy Road, I have no doubts and I choose the game of "pacifier", by image, by sound and by options.
As for the gameplay, I have to say that the movements on a touch screen are much more intuitive. Playing with the Siri Remote, where we do not see where we touch, it is very easy for us to choose the wrong path, something that is especially fatal if we have a ghost on our heels. It is true that everything is getting used to, but the failures that I have had while testing PAC-MAN 256 on the Apple TV I have never had them on a touch screen. Controls may be improved in a future update.
The PAC-MAN 256 version of the Apple TV is exactly the same as that of the iOS, a free-to-play that will allow us to play as many times as we want without powers or we will have a limited number of lives to play with these powers that are unlocked by getting coins (or paying). They continue to release these types of games and they do not release play games or pc games adapted to iOS, games where you do not have to pay to continue playing ..
