Pad & Quill launches some leather protectors for the base of the HomePod

A couple of days ago, when apparently it was time to perform general cleaning in the houses of some HomePod buyers, many were the users who affirmed that the new Apple speaker had left a mark in the area where it was located, as long as it was wood treated with waxes or oils.

Quickly, the Internet began to fill with covers, more like socks, which offered us the necessary protection to be able to protect the furniture where we place the HomePod. The quickest solution is ask our grandmother to make us a rug for our HomePod so that vibrations do not affect the furniture. Or we can buy a leather protector that Pad & Quill puts at our disposal.

The new protectors, which are more in the shape of coasters, are available in two colors: Whiskey and Chestnut and have a diameter of 4 inches. It is made with stuffed leather offering us A smooth surface to dampen HomePod vibrations.  The Pad & Quill coasters prevent wooden furniture from showing a circle due to the chemical reaction between the wood and the silicone used in the base of the HomePod.

Of course, this leather coaster is compatible with other speakers of a similar size and that its base is made of silicone to prevent it from leaving marks on wood treated with waxes or oils, although it is designed specifically for the HomePod.

The Pad & Quill coaster is available through the manufacturer's website for $ 19,95 and the first orders will begin to take place next week. If you are not willing to pay $ 20 more for a HomePod protector, the best solution is to change its location or use a mat from our grandmother.
