Pangu, the iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak now in English, for Windows and Mac OS X

Pangu

A few days ago, Pangu, the Chinese Jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and 7.1.1, arrived at the hands of complete strangers in the Jailbreak scene, and which created quite a controversy for not having "classic" hackers when launching it, considering the latter that it was a waste to launch this Jailbreak just a couple of months before the possible launch of iOS 8. A few minutes ago the Pangu development team has released a new version, for Windows and Mac OS X, and also in English, so the Jailbreak procedure is much simpler to be able to follow the instructions that the program offers us. Anyway or we show the procedure step by step.

What's new in this version 1.1.0 of Pangu are:

  • Added English language
  • The option to install PP25 disappears
  • Improved file size
  • Fixed bug that caused the device to continually reboot
  • Use another new exploit instead of the previously used one from i0n1c
  • Security enhancements in network connections

Requirements

  • Compatible device updated to iOS 7.1 / 7.1.1. (iPad 2, 3, 4 and Air, iPad Mini 1 and 2, iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5c and 5S, iPod touch 5G)
  • Disabled any unlock code or SIM PIN, to avoid mistakes.
  • Pangu App v1.1.o. You can download it from its official link. Available in versions for Mac and Windows, in English.

Procedure

2

As in the previous version, it is necessary to change the date and time of our device. Access the System Settings, and in General> Date and time you must enter the date manually, specifically June 02, 2014, and set the time at 20:30 (08:30 pm).

Pangu-1

Now you can connect your device to your Windows or Mac computer and run Pangu 1.1.0. Once I detect it click on the "Jailbreak" button.

Pangu-2

The process will start, and the bar will stop about halfway through. Then click on the new icon that has appeared on the springboard of your device with the achievement of Pangu. The process will then continue.

Pangu-3

The iPad or iPhone will restart several times, and once the process is finished, you will have the Cydia icon on the springboard of your device.

Pangu-4

Is it necessary to repeat the jailbreak?

You should not repeat the jailbreak, doing so may cause your device to fail. The Pangu team has said that it will update a package in Cydia so that security improvements and fixed bugs can be installed in those that already have the jailbreak without having to do it again. If you can't wait and want to get these improvements without waiting for the package to be released in Cydia, you will have to restore the device to 7.1.1 and jailbreak with this new version.

I keep getting "Dump caches failed" error on iphone 4 with 7.1.1. Do I have to restore 7.1.1 and try again?

Cydia icon does not appear; I have used Maverics and iphone5; I have followed all the steps right to the end (Done!) and there is no trace of the icon

The same thing happens to me as Iandropunk, the cydia icon does not appear and in the process, I never mark an error.

For those who do not get the cydia icon to do it without sim, it has worked for me on the first try after several attempts without leaving, I hope it helps.

The pangu icon did not appear to me either but I lowered the taskbar and wrote pangu and it came out 😀

I don't get the Cydia icon either

Same ... no Cydia icon ...

    1.    Luis Padilla said

I don't know what can happen to those of you who don't get the Cydia icon ... I've already done several Jailbreaks and all of them are fine, that has never happened to me. Could it be that you all have updated via OTA? for looking for some explanation.

      1.    Voken said

No. Restore from scratch. I tried it with sim and without it and neither.

      2.    Voken said

At the end of the process, the pangu icon remains on the phone and nothing else ...

    someone tried on ipad2? regards!

I have tried. The first time I got the Pangu icon, and I ran it and everything was perfect, but when I finished, cydia didn't appear anywhere.
I went back to restore it. Configure. I jailbroken again, ran pangu and this time it did work, at the end the cydia icon appeared.
The first time I don't know why pressing pangu did not finish the whole process, even though the pc put me "done".

  15.   Alberto said

I at the first try without sim came out perfectly enjoying the cydia

  16.   angel said

on the second attempt the cydia icon appeared, do it a few times, and enjoy

  17.   Jacks said

It worked for me on the second try, but I just realized that:
    - If I go to Settings / Mobile Data / and deactivate some applications so that they do not work with data plan, the changes are not saved. It's like I haven't made the switch.

Could any of you confirm it?

    regards

I clarify, that I have installed the tweaks: iCaugthU, PowerDown Enhancer, VirtualHome

Hello! I have iPhone 5S and I have the same problem. I cannot manage mobile data for some applications. It is possible that it is because after Restore to 0 (I restored it from iTunes to install the applications that I already had instead of downloading them again) ?. Is it related to this? ...

It didn't work for me in the first one. I had put everything as it is in the description except the time zone. he was in georgetown. I did the jailbreak again but this time with the time zone in BARCELONA and it worked. I don't know if it was that, but the Cydia icon appeared! (I clarify that the sim in the 1st attempt was already extracted from my iphone)

I'm testing, but it asks me for an internet connection, it shouldn't ask for this suspect. What data do you send or receive?

Well say hello to everyone, I need help. I have ipadini version ios 7.0.6, and I cannot update to 7.1.1 because the update that apple offers is already 7.1.2. What I do? Update? Wait? I read that pangu will also come out soon for 7.1.2 but it bothers me to think that I also aplle update to 7.1.3 and the same thing happens to me

    1.    Salvador said

The jail is still supported for 7.1.2. In fact, as it gave me problems as I mentioned above, I updated to 7.1.2 and then jail. okay

    2.    randy said

you must download the ipsw and restore from itunes. Then the normal JB, with Pangu's steps to follow. You decide if you download 7.1.1 or 7.1.2
