Parrot RKi8400, a twist on the typical

rki8400_screens

Today it is almost impossible to conceive a car sound system without a record holder, either CD or DVD. But it seems that the guys at Parrot have decided to do it, and the way in which they have thought to do without the CD is interesting, since now the music will come out of the iPhone (or a USB device).

And if we add to this that it not only takes the music and plays it to us, but it is also a Bluetooth hands-free (well, it's a Parrot, let's see what it was going to be ...) and it incorporates a predictable radio tuner, which makes this RKi8400 a fairly complete product.

Yes, cFull is also the price, since it goes up to 300 euros, 50000 of the old ones. Now is when doubts can enter you, since it looks good and using the iPhone as a source of music is cool, but not at any price ...

That price seems like a scam to me, apart from the thing is ugly as hell ...

I have the Parrot MKi9000 hands-free that cost me 80 euros and I can also connect the iPhone for music or put an MP3 pendrive in it. And I didn't need to change the car radio.

The problem many times is not the price but the behavior of these devices. I am a parrot user in the car for 4 years. With the CK3100 (bluetooth only) it was good for me, but since I bought the iPhone I wanted something more advanced so a year ago I opted for the purchase of the mki9100 (it incorporates in addition to bluetooth specific support to listen to the music of the iPhone) and of course I'm not complaining about the price but about the enormous difficulties they have in the communication protocols with the phone since it fails more than a fair shotgun, we are going for version 1.20 of the firmware and look how well parrot does it for now I am staying with 1.14 since with the new one even my calls are cut off. With other phones I have no problems but with the iPhone that goes, sad. So as a message to Parrot I would tell them, make their devices work as they advertise and then when they have everything well polished, put up for sale what they want, but not the other way around, then you buy the device and within 1 year will start to work.

I use a Sony MEX BT 5000, 3 years ago.
I have not had any problem with the phones that are connected from a simple Nokia to my current iphone, a 32Gb one.

This Sony model is high-end, it has bluetooh ad2p, it connects the iPhone without cables and it is hands-free and it is Sony that is a guarantee.

It can easily be found for around € 170, the more modern Sony MEX-BT5100 model.

    I recommend it

Yes, I see that SONY, it doesn't look good and I don't doubt the brand either, but it's another story, you can't connect the iPhone directly, it should only be via bluetooth and with the constant loss of battery that our phone suffers, we are ready if at the same playing time does not charge my mobile.

PS: When I say: "it doesn't look good" it is a misprint, I wanted to say that "it does look good"

If it can be connected directly it has aux in.
With a jack to rca cable

it happened to me to say it

Joe, you put it as if they had created the world, I have had the Alpine IDA-X 001, designed by Apple, installed in my car for two years now and it is exactly that. In fact they are already in the third or fourth version I think, Alpine has a very wide range for years dedicated to the iphone

my fault, i meant dedicated to the ipod

No man, not invent the world, but recognize that it is not typical. Of 100 car radios that you see on the market, 99 have a slot for CDs ...

    Hello,

Well, I can give you an alternative, which has nothing to envy (what's more, I have had it for half a year and am delighted with it), and it is the ALPINE CDE-104BTi car radio - RADIO-CD Bluetooth® / CONTROLLER of USB and iPhone®.

That is to say, it has everything that the commented one has, but it also has a CD with mp3. a built-in parrot with bluetooth, and a connector for our iphones and thus control all the music, artists, albums, etc ...

I put the direct link for those who want to take a look:

    http://www.alpine.es/products/details/head-units/cde-104bti.html

By the way, it is much more beautiful than the comment and also the price is much more interesting. € 120.

    Greetings,

Your hair is going to fall out, I would get under the bed of you.

On the contrary, I did not know that product and I am even considering buying it, and of course an article is going to fall thanks to Diego. One link is not the same as another, it can change the matter a lot.

I personally do not see it .. I have the jvc kvx33 in the car, with hands-free and music through "blutus" plus dvd player, usb (320 gigabytes by the way) video input or aux sound, plus the previous 3 for the equipment (a 5v and amp mosffet of 50) .. it is not advertising, if not that it came out for 430 in mediamarkt .. and with the iphone from 3.0 it is going great .. just need to implement full compatibility and it would be the milk (brings for read sms from the radio and voice dialing, which is still missing from the iPhone)

good, the alpine series also has models without CD or DVD exclusive for the ipod, they are very good and the interface is very well achieved, in particular I see it with more presence than the parrot. the models are ida-x101 and ida-x303, check them out and see them
    regards

First the 40GilipoyezesMTV, now car radios……? ?? ? WTF? I would swear this is actualidadIPHONE.com

If I wanted things about car audio, I would put car audio in google or I would find a personalized blog. in the end I'm going to have to delete you from RSS because practically you no longer put anything that interests you, but instead you always have new ideas with something that has nothing to do with the iphone.

What will be next, a review of a refrigerator because it has an audio input? wtf… ..
