Plex for Apple TV is now available on the App Store

When Apple TV was unveiled and one of the most anticipated rumors was confirmed, that it was going to have its own App Store, there were many of us who We expected that Plex, the excellent multimedia content streaming application for iOS (and other platforms), would confirm that it would arrive on Apple TV. Well, the wait is over and just a few days after the worldwide launch of Apple's new device, the application is now available for download.

The Plex app does not appear on the main screen of the App Store for Apple TV at the moment. If you had it purchased on your iOS device, the quickest thing to do is access your list of purchased applications and within the "Entertainment" tab you will find it. On the contrary, use the search engine to find it quickly better than having to navigate through the entire list of applications in the store. Once downloaded remember that you will need to have the Plex server installed on your computer or on any NAS compatible and running. You can download these applications for free from the Plex official page.

Once you have installed everything and configured the Plex library, the application will be in charge of downloading all the metadata content of each movie, having a perfectly organized library with covers, actors, information about the film, you can even watch trailers and content "behind the scenes", often included in the "premium" editions.

The Plex app also allows you to add TV channels such as the BBC or the Apple Trailer Channel, from which you can see the previews of the next movies that will be released in HD content.

Ultimately, an application that can not be missed by any of the owners of Apple TV and that insurance will be more than enough reason for many to decide to acquire the new "set top box" from Apple.
