Niantic knew how to hit the spot pretty well with an innovative video game that broke absolutely all records. We are obviously talking about Pokèmon Go! to happen that for many reasons the use of this video game has fallen notably in the last year. As we well know, Apple is investing time and money in improving Augmented Reality, which is the main feature to be developed in the future. Unlike Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality has the approval of the Cupertino company as Tim Cook himself (Apple CEO) has let us know on more than one occasion. Now is when Niantic takes hands with iOS and adopts ARKit as the operating system for this peculiar and addictive video game.
The first demos of how Pokèmon Go! Through ARKit they are leaving the developers quite happy, and although the change is not going to be brutal in terms of gameplay, we are going to be able to observe an improvement, even if it is slight, in the graphics and textures, as well as the way in which the tools and characters move within our screen. What they have not managed to share with the press is whether this new feature will allow the game to save battery and mobile data, and it is that as we well know, battery consumption was precisely one of its weak points.
What do we get out of this? Well, basically, the Pokémon now look much more realistic than on previous occasions, although being honest, the graphics are not a determining point for most of the users of the video game. Perhaps the key lies in the game's mechanics, which will now be more natural and precise, which will allow the addition of new modes and even features that give the video game the breath of fresh air it demands.
