Power Security: Turn off your device with a code (Cydia)

PowerSecurity

Here we bring you another new tweak from developer's cydia David M called Power Security. This tweak is compatible with iOS 6.xx

Power Security, is a new tweak that has appeared in cydia, this new modification It consists of putting a code to our device to be able to turn it off. This new option comes in handy in case of theft since by not being able to turn off the device, we can track it in case of loss or theft by preventing the device from turning off by not having the code.

Once we install this tweak us a new option will appear, within the settings menu of our device, from which we can configure this modification.

The first time that we enter the tweak settings, it will ask us for a security word and an access code. The safe word just It will be used in case we forget the access code that we have programmed in the device. After configuring this code we will have access to the settings menu.

We will have to write this password every time we access the tweak settings, so in case of loss or theft they will not be able to deactivate this tweak with which they will not be able to turn off the device.

Among the settings we have the option to also ask us for the password in case of a hard reset, invalidating the option of a reset from the terminal itself.

My opinion: I see this tweak very useful, since they will not be able to turn off the device or perform a hard reset, with which we can always search for it using the option to find my iPhone from iCloud. Of course, as long as we have this option enabled on our device.

And you will install this tweak? Tell us about your experience?

You can find this new Tweak in the repository of BigBoss at the reasonable price of 0,99 dollars.

Further information: Musclenerd, indicates that iOS 7.0.2 is not harmful for a future jailbreak of iOS 7

They should make one so that you can't disable wifi, edge or 3G either. Because even if you can't turn it off or hard-reset it at the time, if you disable network connections, it can't be traced.

It is not over, since at the moment they connect it to a Wi-Fi network we would have the location

If the thief decides to enter cydia and uninstall the application, goodbye. 🙂 these tweaks are a bit absurd. This option should be brought by the iPhone as standard and not through an installed tweaks.

You can download the tweak to put passwords to the app and so they will not be able to enter cydia but as I have already mentioned before, you should disable the airplane mode option in any case.

What if they put it in airplane mode? bye iphone.

For you and everyone else. Even if you deactivate the network connection, the iPhone keeps asking to locate by GPS. Also, nobody can enter you into settings if they don't have your unlock code, which everyone who has an iPhone has.
There was already one like it in cydia for a long time, the bad thing that if you could turn off from sbasettings to see if this does not stop ...

What if you hold down Power + Home as if it restarted and not wait for the apple to appear? They would turn it off anyway without asking you.

Surely if you plug in itunes and give it to restore it will do it perfectly.

Anyway, I see a big problem with this tweak and that is how the program hangs, how the hell do you turn off the phone
